LHM – July 2015 Message

Why Lutheran Hour Ministries

Our most important Mission Field is the one just outside our door.  The people we meet and work with everyday are our best opportunity to share the Gospel.  But in Matthew 28, Jesus tells us we should “teach all nations; Baptize them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost”.  To us alone this is an impossible task, but with the help of Lutheran Hour Ministries the impossible become possible.

Lutheran Hour Ministries reaches the elderly in a retirement home via the Lutheran Hour on the radio, connecting with a college student who might accidentally finds the Men’s Network while on his laptop, and what about a pre-school child on a computer using JC Play Zone.  Lutheran Hour Ministries gives us the tools we need in the mission field to reach people that need our help, from Bible studies, to Daily Devotions, to radio and TV broadcasts, to short term Missionary trips or assist with the Lutheran Hour Ministries Rose Bowl parade float.

Thank You Carver County

Our warehouses were emptied last December, but we were blessed and donations poured into the Mayer Lutheran High School Annual Rummage Sale.

All the unsold clothing items are destined for The Orphan Grain Train.  Our members packed up 48 boxes of gently used items.  All these donations will be headed to the Norfolk, Nebraska warehouse.

We are looking forward to our annual Wisconsin Style Fish Dinner on Sunday, September 27, 2015.

The Lutheran Hour can be heard every Sunday on radio stations:
