CCLS

Great values, enduring purpose, small class sizes and high quality instruction and learning are at the forefront of Christ Community Lutheran School (CCLS).

CCLS has families that drive from Buffalo, Hanover, New Germany, Winsted, Waverly and Montrose. They make that drive based on a desire for an outstanding Christian education.  People of all different backgrounds and denominations who are looking for a smaller setting and great family values will find CCLS to be the school of choice. The school is nestled on ten acres of land with a built in sledding hill and a safe and open playground for children.

“CCLS offers a well-rounded, values-centered curriculum that prepares students for success in many area high schools,” Principal Jeff Boehlke said. “Our graduates are leaders in athletics, drama, academics, student leadership teams and many other areas.”

Our staff is made up of experienced, licensed teachers, dedicated to building strong relationships with kids and families.  CCLS teachers know the key to learning is having a relationship with each and every child and helping them find success. Most importantly, CCLS staff shares Christ as Lord and Savior to children and families, the most important relationship of all.

CCLS offers flag football, volleyball, archery, basketball and opportunities in track and field. CCLS also has Student Council, choir, band lessons and other Fine Arts opportunities.

This year, CCLS will continue its focus on STEM Education through Lego Robotics Curriculum in grades 1-6. An emphasis on 6+1 Writing Traits will also be in place this year as we focus on written communication skills that are vital for 21st century learners. With Smart Board technology in every homeroom classroom, utilizing all school Wi-Fi and expanded computers; emerging technology is also emphasized.

Christ Community Lutheran School (CCLS) is located at 512 County Road 10 in Watertown. “Leading Children in Their Christian Faith Walk” is the mission and focus of the school which includes Preschool through Grade 8.

CCLS continues to collect Box Tops for Education, Kwik Trip Milk Moola tops, Campbell’s Labels for Education, Land-O-Lakes Nickels for Education, Coke Rewards, Tyson A+ Rewards, UPC labels from all Village and Country Hearth bread products, and Coborn’s Labels for Learning.

***New this year, they are also collecting used ink jets from printers, toner cartridges, cell phones, and small electronics (i-pods, etc.). SCRIP
SCRIP orders will once again be taken during the school year. This is a great way to be able to purchase gift cards and gift certificates for local business and also for all of your shopping needs.  By purchasing these, you can choose to help a family of your choice or give it to the school through the endowment fund. If you have questions about how this program works, or if you would like to order please see Ruth Bury. You can give your order to Ruth on Sunday and have it back the next week!
