Project Construction Underway
WATERTOWN, Minn. — Christ Community Lutheran School (CCLS) has officially begun construction on its Room to Grow Expansion Project, marking an exciting new chapter for the school and its commitment to providing excellent Christian education for generations to come.
The project was celebrated with a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, August 20, following CCLS’s annual Back-to-School Night. The event brought together community members, CCLS alumni, current students and families, faculty, staff, church pastors, and supporters.
Principal Jeff Boehlke and Board Chairman Amy Stauter shared remarks recognizing the years of prayer, planning, and support that helped make the project possible. Members of the CCLS Board, alumni, and church pastors participated in a ceremonial first dig with golden shovels, representing the school’s history and foundation.
Current CCLS students from every grade level then took part in a second ceremonial dig, symbolizing the future of the school and the generations of students who will benefit from the expanded campus.
For the past three years, CCLS has prayerfully planned for the expansion as enrollment has grown and classroom space has become increasingly limited. The Room to Grow project will provide additional classroom space, allowing CCLS to welcome more students while continuing its mission of Christ-centered education.
“We give thanks to our Lord and Savior for watching over this ministry for 130 years and all of the blessings continually being able to share Christ with kids and with families,” said Principal Jeff Boehlke. “What an amazing ministry that has been.”
Following the ceremony, attendees continued the celebration with complimentary snow cones generously provided by Steve and Diane Neddermeyer.
CCLS is grateful to everyone who has supported the Room to Grow project through prayers, generosity, time, and encouragement. As construction progresses, the school looks forward to seeing this investment in its future become a reality.
