LHM – February 2017 Message

October 2016 marked the 100th anniversary of the Lutheran Laymen’s League/Lutheran Hour Ministries.  100 years of God’s people coming together to do whatever it took to love their neighbor and to communicate God’s message of mercy.  They were creative, innovative, and continually trying to understand their neighbor’s needs.  They created a platform to carry an uncompromised message to the nations for 100 years.

God is preparing us for the future.  The strength behind the Christian community is its people.  All Christians are called to make a difference in the lives of hurting people who need to hear the message of hope.  Today, Lutheran Hour Ministries’ members and partners come together to meet the greatest challenge of the 21st century, which is to proclaim the message of Jesus’ forgiveness. We are working mightily hard to develop programming to take the Gospel message out to where people are going to get their information.  Lutheran Hour Ministries is moving to where those next generations are already going.  As technology continues to advance, the digital mission field is opening up for us, to engage unreached people online and connect them with the churches.  In 2017, Lutheran Hour Ministries is launching “THRED”, and exciting new media project to outreach and engagement in meaningful conversation with non-churched Gen-Xers and older Millennials.  Learn more at THRED.org.  Other outreach resources such as “Men’s Network”, “Project Connect”, “Children’s Books”, “GodConnects”, “Daily Devotions”, “Seasonal Devotions” at www.lhm.org to help laypeople share the Joy of Christ.

Is God calling you to be a part of the Lutheran Hour Ministries?  You can partner with us today.  Join the celebration of “LUTHERAN HOUR MINISTRIES- SUNDAY 2017”.  Your gifts and prayers make a very real impact in this ministry.  Every gift you give will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000 through a special grant opportunity provided by generous supporters of this ministry.  Remember Lutheran Hour Ministries in your prayers and look forward to seeing how the Lord will work through us.
