THIS IS THE DAY
We have all had those days when nothing seems to go right, and we ask ourselves , ”Why did we get out of bed today?”.
Here is what we need to ask God to help us to remember, it is not our day. But it is a good day that Godhas given us to enjoy and to be glad. It truly is a good day that is filled with blessings from a gracious God.
We have food to eat, clothes to wear, shelter, transportation, doctors, money, friends and loved ones. Most of all, we have the promise of God to always be with us throughout this beautiful day .If this day is ruined, it is because of what we have done to it or what someone else has done to spoil God’s beautiful handiwork. The devil, this world, and our sinful nature can spoil the splendor of this day. But there is good news for us this day: Christ died for us; God raised Jesus from death with power and forgiveness for us.
God doesn’t simply gather the tools and hand them to us to finish the work. His work will never be done.
But His plan has already been accomplished. With Jesus’ death and resurrection, God places us securely on the path that leads to reconciliation with the Father. God’s gift of faith and eternal life is complete.
Every day, Christ offers us forgiveness of our sins and gives us a new beginning. Every day God gives us a new life to serve Him. We can rejoice and be glad because of His presence in this day. The day is good because it is God’s day!
