It is not the menu that you plan, it is the people you invite. Having a place set for you at the table means you are part of the family. You have a place at God’s table because everyone is a child of God. Wisdom is handed down while we share food and drink.
The Carver County Lutheran Laymen’s League is hosting our annual “Pork Chop Dinner” which will be held at Mayer Lutheran High School from 11:00-1:00 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-12, and those 5 and under eat for free. Tickets can be purchased from Mel Giese, Gladys Bartels or Allan Larson.
Proceeds will be used for local student scholarships who go into full-time church work. Proceeds will also be used for Lutheran Hour broadcasts on radio station KDUZ (1260 AM), Orphan Grain Train and for projects in Sudan and Myanmar.
We need one thing from you. We need you to get the word out! Please bring family and friends. Join us for dinner and fellowship. Are you ready to invite all your neighbors? The community table is the place around which we build a home with God in Christ Jesus. By making room for others, we ensure that we also participate in the great banquet with God in Christ.
