Join us on Sunday, April 13, for Palm Sunday Service and stay for a wonderful brunch! This event is held by the Youth Group. Service starts at 9:00am.
The service will include special music by cellist Dr. Charles Asch. An egg bake brunch will follow.
The brunch is a free-will offering with all funds going toward Project Easter Joy and is partially supported by Thrivent Financial. Project Easter Joy builds Easter baskets for children and adults.
Menu includes:
– Choice of Egg Bake: Hashbrown and Sausage or Cheese and Ham with Onions and Peppers
– Pineapple and Strawberry Fruit Cup
– Coffee and Lemonade
– And a variety of desserts!
Please RSVP if you plan to attend, so we can make sure there is plenty of food. You have the option to dine-in or take your food to go.

Dr. Charles Asch:
Charles Asch completed his Master of Music degree at Juilliard and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at University of Minnesota. He performs with the Lyra Baroque Orchestra, Minnesota Bach Society, as well as performing solo and chamber music recitals. After completing his Bachelor of Music degree at Northwestern University, he performed the Cello Concerto by Dvorak with the Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra, and the Cello Concerto by Haydn with the Concord Chamber Orchestra. Dr. Asch’s focus in recent years has been on performing recital programs focused on early cello repertoire from the baroque period, as well as recital programs focused on Romantic repertoire for the cello from the late 19th century. His instruments of choice are a cello from Lower Austria by an anonymous 18th century maker, a fine modern cello from New England made in 1996, and a cello bow from Paris c. 1850. Dr. Asch has a large cello student in the Twin Cities, with teaching locations in at St. Edwards in Wayzata, Mount Calvary in Excelsior, as well online via Zoom during the pandemic. He has also served as cello faculty at University of Minnesota–Morris, University of Wisconsin–River Falls and MacPhail Center for Music.
